Q: When I apply for a job online; what happens to my application or resume?
A: Applications that come in via our website are reviewed against any open job orders, and if an applicant is found to be well qualified for one of our available positions they will be contacted by phone or E-mail by one of our staffing coordinators regarding an interview opportunity. If there are no open job orders that seem to be a good fit for the applicant’s skills or work history; than the online application or resume will be retained in our database for reference and consideration towards future openings.
Q: Once I’ve applied for a position online, do I need to call Bennett-Hall to follow up?
A: If you applied online you should receive an acknowledgement via E-mail that your application has been received. We prefer that you wait to receive a call from one of our staff scheduling you for an interview; however if you do wish to follow up about your application you may E-mail us at Info@Bennetthall.com
Q: I have applied several times with Bennett-Hall, yet no one ever contacts me about helping me find a job. Why is this?
A: Bennett-Hall is not a job search firm or a referal agency; we match highly qualified; skilled applicant’s to positions that our clients have made available for us to fill. Although we may receive applications from several good candidate’s we must consider the MOST qualified applicant’s to interview for any open positions. If you did not receive a call from us this time around, it is certainly possible that you will hear from us in the future.
Q: Do I need to keep calling Bennett-Hall to keep myself “available” as some staffing companies require?
A: No, you may E-mail us periodically to let us know that you are still looking for employment; however your “active status” continues for up to 12 months from the initial date of your application.
Q: If I have submitted an application or resume previously; and see a position online that I feel I am qualified for, do I need to resubmit my application?
A: In this instance you may E-mail us at Resume@Bennetthall.com and request that we review your previously submitted information; only if your work history has changed since your last submittal should you apply again.
Q: I’d rather speak to someone in person rather than apply online. Do you take application’s in person at your branch offices?
A: Applicant’s are seen in person at our branches by appointment only. Once we have received your resume or reviewed your online application and determined that you have the required experience for the position; we will contact you to arrange an interview.
Q: I do not have a resume. Does Bennett-Hall require a resume for me to be considered for an open position?
A: We do not require a resume; however in today’s job market many prospective employer’s prefer to see resume’s before making a decision on who to interview. We can refer you to free resources where you can obtain assistance in developing a resume, or we can help you put together a suitable resume.
